Safety Policies and Procedures

Safety rules are established by the Group Officers by recommendation of the Group Operations Officer. These safety policies and procedures may be modified by a majority vote of the Officers after notification of the members.

A general safety inspection will be conducted for all members present at any event or activity where weapons are called for or are present. The Group Operations Officer or his/her designee will conduct the inspection. At events where Winged Commandos™ are subject to host organizations conduct a general safety inspection, the Group Operations officer will attend any and all briefings or meetings regarding event safety.

Refusal by Winged Commandos™ members to stand for safety inspections will result in being asked to leave the event immediately. Blanks and blank adapters must be inspected by the Group Operations Officer or his designee.

Edged weapons may only be handled by their owner or his Winged Commandos designee at public events and otherwise are to remain sheathed. Bayonets are never to be fixed, except for educational demonstrations and staged photographs.

Live ammo will not be allowed at any event. Ammunition for static displays must be de-activated.

During tactical events, no weapon is to be fired directed at anyone closer that fifty (50) feet or whenever anyone is close to the muzzle of a rifle. Be aware of other persons in proximity so as not to damage hearing.

No ignitable devices are to be fired or thrown at vehicles. Nothing will be thrown at drivers of vehicles and nothing is to be thrown at or near horses. Wildlife is not to be fired at or otherwise harmed.

All motor vehicles must be driven by a licensed driver and the owner must have valid liability insurance.
